Educational & Cultural Trip to Japan

Graphic Design concentration at the University College of Bahrain (UCB) arranged for 11 students accompanied by 3 faculty member for 10 days educational and cultural trip to Japan in April 2010.

The trip began from Tokyo where they visited various museums among other places of interest such as Asakusa Kannon Temple and Nakamise Shopping arcade, Imperial Palace, Tokyo Tower, Akihabara Shopping, Ito-Ya Shop paper and Stationary, Tokyo Disneysea, Ceramic Workshop, Kabuki Play at Kabuki – Za theatre. Further in Kyoto they visited Toei Koyoto Studio Park, Fushimi Inari, Ryoanji temple, Kiyomizudera Temple, Nijo Castle, Kinkakiji Temple and Kyoto Handicraft Center.

Finally the students ended their journey in Osaka. Here they visited Osaka Castle, Kaiyukan Aquarium, Bunraku at National Bunraku Theatre. All the students including the faculties thoroughly enjoyed the trip and were delighted with the opportunity of seeing such vibrant artwork and expressed their gratitude to UCB for this wonderful experience.
