Under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Fatima Al Balooshi, the Minister of Social Development and Dr. Khalid Al Khalifa, the 8th annual Graphic Design Exhibition was inaugurated at Janabiya Hall in the UCB Campus on 7th May 2013.

The two day exhibition (7th & 8th May 2013) of contemporary graphic design featured a good number of unique and creative projects of the new era. Graphic Design graduates displayed their final year projects including photographs of New York workshop trip. The works on display reflected UCB students’ skills and passions, and covered a range of mediums from drawing to typography, creative advertising and web.

The exhibition unraveled the visual identity of UCB and other companies as well as large scale super graphic and billboard designs. “The Graphic Design exhibition is organized every year so that our students get the opportunity to present their final portfolios to a discerning audience of friends, family, colleagues, and industry representatives. UCB is glad that the event runs entirely by our graphic design students and lecturers and finally the event’s success is a credit to the hard work and dedication of the Graphic Design department”, commented Sh. Ebrahim Al Khalifa, Executive Director, Administration & Finance. The exhibition was open to all UCB students including their parents, other graphic designing companies and artists. The presence of English and Arabic media added flavor for the event.
