In cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Manama and University College of Bahrain/Graphic Design Concentration, a Batik Workshop was organised on the 25th of September 2018.

A group of students and faculty members attended the workshop, which was conducted by Mr. Nanang Sharna, one of the prominent Indonesian Batik Designers. Mr. Sharna has a tremendous and vast experiences including designed the cloth for President Nelson Mandela of South Africa.

The workshop gave the students an introduction about wax Batik  techniques, which is one of the Indonesian cultural heritage arts.
